Hoy que he andado con algo de tiempo, me puse a indagar sobre festivales por realizarse alrededor del mundo para este año, aqui les dejo algo de informacion.

Del 11 al 13 de marzo: BLOCK Weekend

04 de junio: Colourfest, Glaswog(UK)

El Colourfest de Glaswog ha crecido mucho en los ultimos años, con mas de 50 djs mezcalndo simultaneamente en seis diferentes areas. El line-up aun no es anunciado, pero se espera que se excepcional debido a que se estaran festejando 10 años de este gran festival.

01 de julio: Wireless Festival (Hyde Park, London)

Este festival esta mas enfocado a la musica alternativa, pop y rock, pero tambien se pueden contar de vez en vez con excelentes djs, el line-up aun no esta definido.

23 y 24 de julio: Tomorrowland, Belgica

 Un evento bastante reconocido en Belgica, en el 2010 estuvieron presentes excelentes DJs en los que cabe destacar la prescencia de Nick Warren. El line-up aun no se encuentra definido.

29 y 30 de julio: Global Gathering

Locacion: Long Marston, Warwickshire(UK)

Los dueños de God's Kitchen uno de los superclubes nocturnos mas famosos del mundo; se han puesto las pilas desde hace años y decidieron no limitarse a sus instalaciones para atraer a los amantes de la musica electronica, si no que desde hace 10 años organizan(Angel Music Group) festivales masivos en Europa y USA a los cuales se les llama Global Gathering, este festival junto con Creamfields  son de los mas reconocidos a nivel mundial por su poder de convocatoria. El line-up aun no es anunciado.

27 y 28 de agosto: South West Four Weekender

Loccacion: Clapham Common, London(UK)

Uno de los nuevos festivales nacientes, el año pasado fue engalanado con la prescencia de Armin van Buuren y Fat Boy Slim, este año aun no tienen line-up confirmado.

27 y 28 de agosto: Creamfields

Locacion: Daresbury Estate, Halton, Cheshire

Mas de 10 años y este festival sigue como el mejor festival de musica electronica, no solo a nivel Europa, si no a nivel mundial, es uno de los eventos con mayor poder de convocatoria. El line-up esta por ser anunciado.

El dia de hoy en la cuenta de twitter de Armin van Buuren, aparece publicada la noticia de que en unos meses mas Armin y su esposa, estaran conviritendose en padres, el mensaje textual dice asi: "YES!! I'm going to be a DAD! Erika and I are expecting a little one this summer. Let's hope it'll be my best production ever...


Las felicitaciones de varios Dj con cuenta en twitter no se han hecho esperar, sin duda alguna es una agradable noticia para todos los fans de este genio de la musica electronica.

Como extra les pongo un pequeño video de su boda, acontecida en el mes de septiembre de 2009 en Leiden, Paises Bajos. Despues de 10 años de relacion con Erika van Thiel.

Damián Schwartz comenzó con su debilidad musical ya desde muy joven, no obstante, no es hasta la edad de 15 años cuando por primera vez entra en contacto con la electrónica y con el techno. Es por esa época cuando conoce a la familia CMYKmusik, el sello que dirige Alex Under, actualmente uno de los productores de moda, alabado por Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, Michael Mayer, Superpitcher o Sascha Funke. De esa conexión surge Música Charlista, proyecto que Damián mantiene al 50% con el propio Alex Under.

Como productor, Damián se decanta por la vanguardia, desarrollando múltiples conceptos musicales convirtiendo su música en algo único y novedoso. El factor común de sus producciones en solitario es el contenido armónico-melódico, la sorpresa y el jazz, sin alejarse tampoco nunca de la pista de baile. Otro de sus puntos álgidos ha sido el remix que ha hecho para Tadeo en el Apnea002, tema que cuenta con la voz del legendario Paul St. Hilaire, aka Tikiman. Como Dj, no se fija en estilos ni etiquetas, es consciente en todo momento de la finalidad de una sesión, y sabe lo que el público necesita para bailar, aderezando sus sets con elementos del techno, del house y hasta del jazz, manteniendo siempre el groove al rojo vivo.

En abril 2005 publica Azul Frío (CMYK005), su debut en solitario con el que confirma todo lo que había anunciado ya en sus proyectos y colaboraciones anteriores. Si en Música Charlista, su vis a vis con Alex Under, con Amarillo Mantequilla (CMYK004) como excelente tarjeta de presentación, optaba por el jazz como premisa sobre la que narrar un discurso 100% bailable, y en su remix del Feel the Vibrations (Apnea002) de Tadeo feat. Paul St. Hilaire decidía llevarnos hacia el groove del house más clickeante, ahora, en Azúl Frío, el acento está, más que nunca, en el ritmo. Un disco influido por la corriente mental y melódica del techno, juego de repeticiones y acortaciones cada vez mayores de los compases que dan forma a los 3 cortes del disco. Un juego donde los elementos cotidianos (voces, teléfonos, utensilios varios) son musicados y que remite a ese terreno demarcado por Thomas Brinkmann o Antonelli Electr. El groove que surge del juego mental más que instintivo, una autopista hacia el cerebro en movimiento constante. En junio de 2005 publicará la cuarta referencia de Apnea, además de una remezcla para Duon (Pulpa), disco en el que también colabora el mejicano Murcof.

Ultra Music Festival is rapidly approaching it's 13th annual edition, taking place March 25-27 at Bicentennial Park in Miami FL.  Featuring more than 400 of the hottest Djs, bands, and producers spread out over 3 days and 24 stages of music. Ultra saw great success last year as the event sold out both days for the first time ever, bringing more than 100,000 in attendance.

Ultra Music Festival would like to thank all the fans, supporters and music enthusiasts by launching the first ever UMF Remix Contest!  The festival is giving the opportunity to remix one of this year's electronic artists - AFROBETA. The Miami avant-dance duo, consisting of Cuci Amador and Smurphio, are known for their sonic confections that straddle many genres and spin them into a mix of synthesized digital beats. This is an amazing opportunity for all aspiring producers and deejays.  What's the prize? A slot to DJ at the event to the first place winner!
